The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has begun the 3rd Review Workshop on the Common Core Programme for JHS to SHS1. The workshop started on Thursday 12th December at the Larteh-Akuapem in the Eastern Region with Ninety (90) curriculum and subject experts drawn from various Junior High and Senior High Schools, Teacher Training Institutions (TTIs), agencies of the Ministry of Education (MoE), private and seasoned educational consultants.
In his opening address, the Executive Secretary of NaCCA, Dr Prince Hamid Armah, expressed his sincere gratitude to the participants for dedicating themselves to the curriculum reform agenda that has the power to transform the human resource capacity of this country.
The first two workshops focused on the identification and development of Strands, Substrands, Content Standards and Indicators. At the end of this workshop, the subject panels are expected to develop exemplars for the indicators to be incorporated into the final draft of the common core curriculum
I would love to participate in this exercise when it comes to the Central Region.
