RESEARCH, PLANNING, MONITORING AND EVALUATION (RPME) DIRECTORATE


 

RPME Mission Statement

To conduct rigorous planning, comprehensive research, effective monitoring and evaluation of curriculum and assessment initiatives and implementation in schools, whiles building partnerships with local and international research institutions to enhance educational quality and improve learning outcomes at the pre-tertiary level of education in Ghana.


 

RPME Vision Statement

To be a premier Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research and Learning (MEARL) hub that showcases evidence-based developmental and interdisciplinary research in curriculum and assessment development and implementation, contributing to the transformation of pre-tertiary education in Ghana.


 

Strategies to Achieve Mission and Vision of RPME

  • Conduct Fidelity of Implementation (FOI) of the Communities of Excellence Programme (CEP) in schools

  • Conduct Fidelity of Implementation (FOI) of the Secondary Education Curriculum which is rolled out in SHS/SHTS and STEM schools in Ghana.

  • Collaborate with the curriculum, assessment and instructional resources directorates to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the KG, Primary and Junior High School Curriculum.

  • Scale-up the Energy Efficiency and Demand-Side Management Project, widely known as the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) project in more regions in Ghana.

  • Promote the state-of-the-art skillset among the RPME Staff, through partnerships with foreign Research institutions and organisations.

  • Generate an online MEARL hub that showcase evidence of all the RPME projects with stakeholders and schools.

  • Promote dissemination of evidence generated through face-to-face and online sessions at the national, regional and district levels.
